Fort Worth, Dallas prep for New Year’s Eve celebrations

Sundance Square in Fort Worth and Tower in Dallas are hosting large New Year’s Eve parties on Tuesday night.

FORT WORTH, Texas Fort Worth is preparing for the “largest in-person New Year’s Eve celebration in Texas” at Sundance Square.

Sundance Square New Year’s Eve

The massive celebration in Sundance Square will include live music, activities, food trucks and a fireworks show for more than 40,000 expected attendees.

“It’s going to be massive in Downtown. It’s going to be bigger than last year, I can promise you that much. It’s going to be absolutely awe-inspiring,” said Gregory Newman, the director of music at Sundance Square. “This an amazing place where you can come downtown with your whole family, not many cities have something like this.”

The event is free.

Fireworks Show

Organizers say this year’s fireworks show will include a panoramic view of fireworks to cap off the night.

“This year it’s going to be all around us,” said Newman. “We’re going to have fireworks going off from four different building rooftops here aound Sundance Square. Last year we only had them off of one, so this is a huge increase.”
