For Saturday
Concerning the day of Saturday December 28, 2024, Bison Futé anticipates generally smooth traffic on the country in the direction of departures. With one exception: the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes region is in Orange, that is to say that the service provides a circulation difficile with some disturbances. “Congestion is expected in the Rhône valley (A43, A48, N85 mainly) from late morning until late afternoon,” he writes, with these recommendations:
- avoid the A43 motorway, between Lyon and Chambéry from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.,
- avoid the A48 motorway, between Bourgoin-Jallieu and Grenoble, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.,
- avoid the national 85, between Grenoble and Gap, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
On the feedback side, same story with, in addition to Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Île-de-Francealso in orange. The A40, the A43, the A7, the A10 and the A6 are cited among the motorways prone to slowdowns for this December 28. Here are Bison Futé’s recommendations:
- reach or cross Île-de-France before 11 a.m.,
- avoid the A7 motorway, between Orange and Vienne from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.,
- avoid the A40 motorway, between Annemasse and Mâcon, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.,
- avoid the A43 motorway, between Chambéry and Lyon, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.,
- avoid the Mont-Blanc tunnel (N205), between Italy and France, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
For Sunday
What are the forecasts for Sunday, December 29? Smart Bison board on much less disruption than the day before. In the direction of departures, the entire country is green with traffic considered usual. In terms of returns, it's almost the same thing: only Île-de-France turns orange. The service only recommends reaching or crossing it before 11 a.m.
