KMI warns with code yellow for fog and slippery conditions in Flanders

Anyone who has to be on the road tonight should be careful. The RMI warns of local slippery conditions and fog banks. Due to the fog, visibility can be limited to less than 200 meters. Code yellow applies to the whole of Flanders.

Code yellow means that one to ten centimeters of fresh snow may fall in 24 hours or that localized sleet, hoarfrost or ice patches may develop. Snow is not immediately expected in Flanders. Fog and slippery roads.

In Flanders, visibility can be limited by fog. Code yellow has also been declared in Brussels, Walloon Brabant and Hainaut. This means that visibility is limited to less than two hundred meters or locally even to less than fifty meters. The fog warning applies until Saturday afternoon.

Due to the fog, there are delays on some flights at Brussels Airport on Friday evening, the airport operator itself announced on the website.

Saturday it is sunny again south of Sambre and Maas. Elsewhere it will be gray with mist and possibly fog. The maximums are between 2 and 7 degrees.

Sunday it will be heavily cloudy, with a chance of clear spells during the day. The maximum temperatures are between 0 and 7 degrees.

Also next week it is still very cloudy. The RMI warns against CO intoxication.
