Victoire finally finds her first love
At the hospital, Victoire and Romane go to Fred's bedside who has woken up from a coma. He hugs his niece, then recognizes his ex, happy that she fulfilled her dream of becoming a doctor.
At the same time, Michaël interrupts the reunion to question Fred. The latter says that he discovered that the images from the spy camera could exonerate his sister. He therefore contacted the boss who bought the chocolate factory, without response.
Finally, when he arrived in Sète, the boss contacted him and arranged to meet him at an abandoned warehouse. Fred didn't see anyone there. And suddenly, the blackout. Fred adds that he had warned Thibault of his investigation and that the latter supported him.
Michaël then reveals to Fred that Thibault manipulated him by pretending to be the boss who bought the chocolate factory and that he set a trap for him at the warehouse. He assaulted him, then tried to dispose of his body. Indeed, Thibault is the real person responsible for Jade's murder and Lorena will be released from prison. Fred is in shock.
A little later, Victoire comes to check Fred's constants. The latter takes the opportunity to admit to her that he still finds her beautiful and that Soraya's message had made him very happy. The two exes realize that they are both hard-core singles and workaholics. Fred admits that he would have liked them to meet under different circumstances, then thanks Victoire for taking care of Romane. After which, Victoire lets Fred rest.
Back at the police station, Michaël finds Karim and Georges who are looking for a flaw in Thibault's alibi for Jade's murder. They manage to get their hands on video surveillance images of the Paris ring road, which allows them to retrace Thibault's journey. The latter left the chocolate factory around 4:15 p.m., took his car, went to the ring road, but took an exit. He left his car and his phone to walk back to the chocolate factory before picking up his car at 5:27 p.m. Furthermore, the video surveillance images from the internet café clearly show Thibault reading the SD card from the spy camera on one of the computers. There is no longer any doubt.
Faced with all the evidence against him, Thibault ends up confessing. He explains to Michaël that he had money problems and that he stole from the chocolate factory's cash register. Except that Jade surprised him and threatened to report him to the hierarchy. Thibault panicked and killed him.
After which, Thibault is transferred to prison. Michaël blames himself for not having exonerated Lorena sooner, but Georges points out that she was still exonerated thanks to him. The two police officers show mutual respect despite the doubts that had temporarily crept into Georges' mind regarding his colleague.
In the evening, Victoire displays Romane's drawings in Fred's room. She takes the opportunity to ask him if he intended to contact her again when he came to Sète. Fred admits that he was mainly focused on his investigation to exonerate his sister, but that he saw Soraya's message as a sign. The two exes are then interrupted by Aaron.
Meanwhile, Michaël calls Octave and apologizes for getting angry with him because he was on edge because of the investigation. Octave is understanding. Michaël reminds her that he loves her and that he and his sister are what is most precious to him. Octave is very touched…
Timothy is capable of lying
At the roommate, Bart and Timothée give Rachel matching jewelry. The latter then offers a statue to Bart, as well as an electric blue sweater to Timothée.
In the evening, at the Spoon, Bart notices that Timothée doesn't like his sweater at all. But he suspects him of not admitting it because it was Rachel who gave it to him.
Bruno is embarrassed
At the Spoon, Christelle meets Bruno at the counter and admits that she loved their Christmas Eve with Valentine, especially in Sylvain's absence. She suggests the three of them spend New Year's Eve again, assuring that she will take care of everything.
Bruno therefore goes to the Little Spoon to invite Valentine. But the latter doesn't want to go there at all. She also encourages Bruno to tell Christelle the truth. But he doesn't want to leave her alone, especially since she's been hosting him for several months.
At the hospital, Christelle admits to Marianne that she does not at all want to spend the New Year alone with Bruno. She offers to join them but Marianne claims that she is already taken.
At the Christmas market, Bruno asks Alex to set aside a hamper for his New Year's one-on-one time with Christelle. Alex taunts him by saying it looks like a date night. Bruno panics and wants to find a way to cancel to prevent Sylvain from imagining things.
