Beaune hotel zone: the roof of the Copacabana ravaged by flames
Last night, at 2:35 a.m., a fire broke out in the roof of the Copacabana nightclub, located in the hotel zone of Beaune (Côte-d’Or). Fortunately, the establishment was closed at the time of the disaster and no public was inside.
A massive and coordinated intervention
Faced with the scale of the fire, firefighters deployed considerable resources to control the fire. No less than 34 firefighters from several fire stations in the region were mobilized, accompanied by numerous specialized vehicles:
- 2 fire vans Beaune and Meursault barracks.
- 2 large ladders centers of Beaune and Dijon Transvaal.
- 1 super forest fire tanker for hydraulic support, coming from Beaune.
- An ambulance of Saint-Jean-de-Losne for possible treatment of the injured.
- A health support vehiclewith a nurse and a doctor from the fire brigade health service on board.
- The command post vehicle de Gevrey-Chambertin, coordinating operations.
- Command vehicles the barracks of Beaune, Gevrey, Nolay and Cis Les Deux Côtes.
Firefighters attacked the fire using four fire hoses: two operating from the ground and two deployed via large ladders. The Copacabana, a well-known nightclub in the region, was closed when emergency services were launched.
