The responsibility for the crisis that the Region is experiencing, states Paulo Cafôfo, lies with Miguel Albuquerque and the PSD, due to the “cases of corruption” in which the president of the Regional Government “is involved” and hides behind the immunity of the State Council and the cases in court “involving the leadership of the PSD”.
The socialist leader made the weekly political declaration and stated that, in the PSD, “there are no saints or saviors” and asks Madeirans to “make no mistake” about who is responsible for the instability.
“Voters cannot benefit those who created instability”, says the socialist leader who considers that, although the Region has gone through “too many elections”, given the parliamentary framework in which it is not possible to create stability, it is necessary to “give the word back to the people” .
“Insisting on the PSDB is causing instability to continue”, he assures.
Paulo Cafôfo assures that his party is “available to create stability” if the other opposition parties “understand it”.
“There is no hope if we just intend to overthrow the PSD and look at our navels”, he warns.
To create an alternative, “agreements” are needed because people want “opposition parties to understand each other.”
Regarding the Regional Budget for 2025, he once again states that “it does not show signs of responding to needs” and says that those who should approve it are those who made the Government viable and accuse the PSD and Albuquerque of insisting on creating “fear” in the population about non-approval .
Cafôfo asks the parties that made the government viable to be “responsible” and approve the budget because he doesn’t even know if the PSD deputies will vote in favor.
“Miguel Albuquerque doesn’t even trust his party’s deputies”, he states.
