Lawyer Thibault de Montbrial was the guest of the Grand Rendez-vous Europe 1-CNews. At the microphone of Pierre de Vilno, he returned to Islamism in schools and calls for taking the full measure of the fight it represents against our democracies. “It’s a war,” he says.

The conviction was controversial. A 27-year-old man was sentenced this month to a fine of 600 euros and a citizenship training course for having threatened to kill the principal of the Maurice Ravel establishment in on social networks. At the origin of these threats: an altercation between the principal and a student refusing to remove her veil within the premises of the establishment.

An altercation which widely circulated on social networks with sometimes death threats against this man close to retirement. The latter has also left his position and now says he perpetually fears for his safety. So, the conviction of the young man who made threats was judged particularly light in the face of the seriousness of the facts, all in the middle of the trial into the assassination of Samuel Paty, a professor of history and geography beheaded by an Islamist after having shown caricatures to his students during one of his classes.

Multiplication of incidents

“The misuse of State authority leads to weaknesses which are exploited by two major currents: Islamism and drug trafficking and organized crime. Islamism is a deadly ideology which develops on the basis of immigration over which we have completely lost control, which is predominantly Arab-Muslim and a fraction of which is manipulated by Salafists and the Muslim Brotherhood for the purposes of a strategy of Islamist conquest.” explains on the set of the Grand Rendez-vous Europe 1/ CNews/ Les Echos, Thibault de Montbrial.

Objective for the Islamists, he continues: “Multiply the small incidents, the small blows so that the giants that are our democracies end up exhausting themselves, bleeding and collapsing all at once. This is exactly what is happening,” he says with alarm.

“We have gone far beyond the moment of incantations and support. Now, we must go on the ground. Because it is a war” that we are waging against Islamism, he concludes.
