The National Rally will have to think about a plan B following the conviction of Marine Le Pen. The Jordan Bardella hypothesis to take the head of the party is gaining momentum.

The conviction of Marine Le Pen raises many questions about the future of the National Rally, whose declared objective is to gain access to the Élysée. This judgment risks weakening the position of the party figure, and arouses concern among his supporters.

Jordan Bardella, a potential recourse for the National Rally

Faced with this legal uncertainty, the National Rally must think about a plan B. Although the party leaders refuse to enter into “political fiction”, the Jordan Bardella hypothesis is gaining weight. If the court were to follow the requisitions and confirm the ineligibility of Marine Le Pen, the MEP could become the RN's sole recourse in the battle for the Élysée. Jordan Bardella seems to have anticipated this possibility by publishing his first book, What I'm looking forat the very moment when Marine Le Pen faces her trial. His entourage, however, denies any Elysian ambition at this stage: “We really are not on that at all. We cannot imagine that the judges would make Marine Le Pen ineligible”, sweeps away an RN executive.

Mobilization and response: the RN organizes itself in support of its president

The party's official strategy remains to mobilize all of Marine Le Pen's supporters to denounce what he perceives as an unfair situation. With this in mind, a petition was launched online to rally more supporters.
