The effects of the Bert depression should be strongly felt this Monday, November 25 in the Center-East. Météo-France has placed nine departments on orange alert for this day due to violent winds. In question, depression Bert which is accompanied by strong gusts and which began this Saturday on the reliefs.
The departments affected by this orange vigilance are Allier, Puy-de-Dôme, Saône-et-Loire, Rhône, Loire, Haute-Loire, Jura, Ain and Isère.
Winds that will weaken during the day
According to the meteorological institute, the winds, which accelerated during the night from Sunday to Monday, will weaken during the morning over the Pyrenees, at the beginning of the afternoon over the Massif Central and in the middle of the afternoon towards Lyon as well as towards Saône-et-Loire.
In addition to the arrival of depression Bert, this weekend was marked by exceptionally mild temperatures in the country due to a current which brought hot air from the Canary Islands.
Despite particularly strong winds, the thermometer rose to over 28°C on Sunday in Navarrenx, in the Pyrénées-Atlantiques. It was also over 19°C in the north of France, for example in Le Touquet, Calais or Dunkirk.
