In a still well-ventilated atmosphere, we are experiencing the passage of the rainy cold front of the disturbance associated with depression Bert, now centered in the north of Scotland. Some light rain is occurring ahead this morning. A narrow band of heavier rain circulates from west to east until midday. The south-southwest wind blows with peaks still high around 70 km/h, and shifts to the south-west while losing intensity, which is unusual.
In the afternoon, and after the passage of the marked rain band, we have a development of clearings and light showers. The wind shifts to the southwest, weakening quite significantly. A few gusts of 70 km/h may return in the evening along the Channel coast.
Morning temperatures vary from 8 to 11°.
End of day temperatures range from 12 to 15°.
Coastal showers punctuate the day mardi. They can enter the lands of Pas-de-Calais and the North in the afternoon. The southwest wind is reasonable. The minimums are around 6 to 9 degrees from central Picardy towards the coast and the maximums: 8 to 11°.
Wednesdaya new rainy disturbance slides over the Channel and the south of England. Hauts-de-France is affected by the rains, but rather on the margins. The highest accumulations are at sea. In the afternoon, the train that sets up is loaded with clouds, but showers are rare. The southeast wind at daybreak shifts to the south in the morning then to the west, even northwest in the afternoon. If in Picardy, we should hardly exceed 60 km/h, in Nord-Pas-de-Calais on the other hand, the passage of the rainy front is accompanied by peaks at 70 km/h. Then, in the afternoon, the coastline can experience gusts to 90 km/h, even 100 km/h at the headings. We have 6 to 8° in the morning then 9 to 12° afterwards.
THURSDAYthe sky is generally very cloudy. However, it is possible that we can see the sun at times, especially in the west. The fresh northwest wind accentuates the feeling of cold. The minimums are close to 2 to 6° in the interior from south to north, 6 to 8 on the coasts. The maximums are close to 7 to 9° in general, up to 11 on the North Sea coast.
Fridaythe sky is cloudy with few clearings. A few drops are possible on the eastern side of the region. The easterly wind is moderate. A few frosts are expected in southern Picardy. Between 0 and 3° inland, up to 5° on the coast. In the afternoon, it is 4 to 8°.
SATURDAYthe sky is once again very cloudy and the sun very discreet. Showers try to penetrate from the east. The east to northeast wind remains reasonable and it is still very cool with minimums close to 3° and maximums close to 6°.
Same temperatures Sunday or the situation changes little, even if the sun manages to shine through more clearly than on previous days. The east to northeast wind keeps the atmosphere cold. It should turn southeast at the end of the day.
This Monday, November 25, 2024, air quality remains average across the region, due to moderate levels of ozone (and low levels of other pollutants). For this day, pollutant concentrations are stable under the combined action of wind and rain.Indoors, DIY and household products emit dust and particles. To breathe better at home, choose natural cleaning products and remember to ventilate.
