At the end of the requisitions in the case of the parliamentary assistants of the National Rally, the member for Pas-de-Calais castigated Wednesday evening the “violence” and “excess” of the prosecution.
Is Marine Le Pen seeing her presidential ambitions slipping away? While the RN deputy from Pas-de-Calais has until now portrayed herself as the natural candidate of her camp for 2027, the prosecution's requisitions in the affair of the parliamentary assistants of the National Front (formerly National Rally) are severe for the one who has already appeared three times before the French. The prosecution demanded on Wednesday a fine of 300,000 euros and two sentences: five years in prison, two of which could be suspended, as well as five years of ineligibility for the former boss of the flame party.
A request which passes all the less among the RN ranks as the prosecution asked the court to attach this last point to a provisional execution, meaning that it would apply immediately even if Marine Le Pen appeals. Which would hamper his ambitions for the 2027 presidential election and block his re-election to the National Assembly in the event of another dissolution within a few months.

At the end of the hearing, the nationalist leader denounced, in cold anger, “a desire on the part of the prosecution to deprive her and deprive the French of the ability to vote for whoever they wish.” “The only thing that interested him was Marine Le Pen to be able to ask for her exclusion from political life and the National Rally to ruin the party”she lashed out again in front of a swarm of journalists, in reference to the fine of 4.3 million euros, including 2 million suspended, requested by the prosecutors against the latter. And“hope” that the court, which will deliberate its judgment at the end of November, “will not follow” these requisitions.
“A relentlessness”
Pretending not to be «surprise» by the latter, Marine Le Pen said “having formed his opinion after a few days of hearing”. Before once again attacking the floor, which she described as“outrageous” and of «violent». Strong words which echo all of the requisitions, which requested sentences of ineligibility against all the defendants, “modulated” depending on each person's responsibilities. The public prosecutor has in fact requested eight months in prison, including six months closed with three years of ineligibility against the number two of the party Louis Aliot; ten months suspended sentence and one year of ineligibility against RN spokesperson Julien Odoul, or eighteen months suspended sentence and two years of ineligibility for Marine Le Pen's sister, Yann Le Pen.
Photo of Marine Le Pen and him in support, Jordan Bardella pointed the finger at “relentlessness” and one “revenge against Marine Le Pen”. “His scandalous requisitions aim to deprive millions of French people of their vote in 2027. It is an attack on democracy”jeered the president of the RN. With the presidential election probably in mind, his Reconquest counterpart Éric Zemmour has resumed his favorite “government of judges.” And the fourth man in the 2022 election added: “Whatever our disagreements, it is surely not up to justice to decide who can be a candidate”.
