While the PSG players were supposed to reach Angers by air for the match on the 11th day of Ligue 1 played this Saturday, their flight had to be canceled. This forced them to choose another mode of travel.
This is an unexpected change of program to which the Paris Saint-Germain players were entitled. On the occasion of the trip this Saturday to Angers as part of the 11th day of Ligue 1, the club from the capital was initially supposed to take a plane very early in the day in order to reach Maine-et-Loire in a minimum of time . However, the Parisian delegation was informed this Friday of the possible cancellation of the flight due to persistent fog in Angers. This prompted Parisian leaders to consider other solutions for this trip to the west of France so as not to be caught off guard. A “plan B” that PSG finally had to activate this Saturday, the flight of its team having indeed been canceled. Instead of using the air route, it is not the train that was favored by the current leader of the French championship, but the road.
Four hours by bus instead of the plane
Indeed, it was in their bus that Luis Enrique and his players took their place this Saturday morning to travel the approximately 300 kilometers which separate the prefectural capital from Maine-et-Loire. A journey whose expected duration should not exceed four hours, which could have some consequences on the approach to the match, played in the evening on the lawn of the Raymond-Kopa Stadium. The Angevins, for their part, have already had trouble with the fog. Last week, ahead of their trip to Monaco, Alexandre Dujeux's players were unable to fly to Angers. As a result, they had brought forward their departure by a day with a plane that had flown from Nantes. As for the Parisian players, their return should take place by air, their flight being scheduled for this Saturday evening, shortly after the final whistle.
