Collective 69 in support of the Palestinian people is calling for a new rally in support of Palestine and Lebanon this Saturday, November 9 from 3 p.m. on Place Bellecour.
New day of mobilization in support of the Palestinian and Lebanese people: collective 69 in support of the Palestinian people is calling for a rally this Saturday, November 9 at 3 p.m. on Place Bellecour.
The collective once again denounces Israeli policy and demands from the French government an “immediate and permanent ceasefire” in Gaza and Lebanon, sanctions against the “genocidal” state and an end to the delivery of weapons to Israel. The collective also refuses to welcome the Israeli national football team to the Stade de France on November 14.
The gathering takes place in an already tense context in Lyon. This Friday, November 8, the visit of the President of the National Assembly to Lyon 3 University was disrupted by pro-Palestinian activists. “Yaël get out of here”, “Israel criminal, Yaël complicit”, could also be read on the walls of the faculty, targeted by tags hostile to Israel. On October 6, the President of the National Assembly declared that it was “not necessary to disarm” the country.
