The reactions of the coaches of Rodez and Annecy, and of Joris Chougrani, after the 5-1 victory of the Aveyronnais during the 13th day of Ligue 2.
Didier Santini, Rodez coach
It's nice to win. And I prefer 5-1 than 3-3 (laughs). We had a lot of opportunities and we knew how to score at the right time. It's a bit of a conclusion to the first days, where we had a lot of chances in other matches (to kill encounters) and we didn't manage to do it. We also had success, which we didn't have at one point, because they had the ball in the 2-2.
Laurent Guyot, Annecy coach
Despite the score, it didn't come down to much. We have the 2-1 ball that we don't score, the 2-2 ball that we don't score… We have to recognize that Rodez was better than us (Friday November 8) This evening, we must congratulate them. I knew before this match that it would be a dangerous trip. They have three, four attackers who have a lot of impact, speed, and who are successful, like Nkada this evening. A slap like that always hurts.
Joris Chougrani, defender of Rodez
Honestly, it feels good. We were on an undefeated streak, so being able to put on a bit of a show at home makes us feel good. Even if we made this big mistake to throw the match at them, we still managed to put them in difficulty. Since it is a team which is very effective in pressing and second balls. We played a good game, we stayed focused until the end, even if we were a little in danger at the start of the second half.
