Still frustrating for Montpellier! The MHR thought it would hold its first away victory of the season and follow up after its great success against La Rochelle, but the Castres took the advantage at the siren for an unexpected comeback (30-26). Defeated in Vannes last weekend, the Tarnais bounced back. Joan Caudullo's men will have a lot of regrets.
What an end to the match! While they were trailing throughout the entire match, the Castres snatched an unexpected victory at home, 4 minutes after the siren sounded, against the dominant and solid Montpellier team (30-26), during the 9th Top 14 day at the Pierre-Fabre stadium.
Draft Castres, realistic Montpellier
Following on from its home victory against La Rochelle last weekend (16-0), the MHR showed great solidity from the start of the match. Organized and disciplined, the Héraultais perfectly knew how to take advantage of Castres' technical errors and defensive indiscipline. Author of a race of more than 30 meters through 3 defenders, Maël Moustin concluded a lightning action from his team (9'). Well helped by Thomas Vincent's flawless shooting (5/5), the Héraultais then increased their lead thanks to an individual exploit from Madosha Tambwe, who offered a perfect pass feint to the Castres public to clear the way towards the CO goal (26').
