The central commissioner of Kaffrine and the urban commissioner of Koungheul were both relieved of their posts for “gross misconduct”, according to exclusive information from Seneweb.
Their dismissal would be linked to the attack on the convoy of the head of Pastef’s national list, Ousmane Sonko, during his visit to Koungheul. The two commissioners are accused of not having taken appropriate measures to prevent these scenes of electoral violence.
Thus, the urban commissioner of Koungheul, Seydi, was assigned to the central police station of Thiès as deputy to the head of department. While Commissioner Fall, head of the Kaffrine central police station, was transferred to the General Directorate of the National Police located at the Ministry of the Interior. The decision was notified to those concerned.
The Koungheul urban police station depends on the Kaffrine central police station.
