Bruno Retailleau, here on October 11 in Mesnil-Amelot, condemned the attack on the parliamentary office of an RN deputy. But not a word for that of LFI.
POLITICS – A new example of violence against elected officials. In recent hours, several deputies have seen their parliamentary office ransacked, in circumstances and for very different reasons.
This is the case of RN deputy David Magnier in Oise. According to his account, an individual “hooded”, visible on the video surveillance images, is said to have broken the windows and the entrance door of the office around 4 a.m. this Saturday, October 19, “with an object, probably a hammer or a crowbar”. “It lasted 30 seconds, it was very fast”he adds to AFP.
Shortly before, it was the premises of LFI deputies Manon Meunier and Damien Maudet, in Limoges, which had also been attacked, with numerous tires piled up in front of the entrance. The action was claimed by the Rural Coordination, the second agricultural union, which accuses the Insoumis of being “traitors who attack the peasantry and the people”.
“Selective indignation”
After this double act of violence, the Minister of the Interior only gave his support… to the RN deputy. “Last night, the office of RN deputy for Oise David Magnier was ransacked. This violence against elected officials is an absolute shame and should revolt us all. Democracy is debate and the acceptance of disagreement”wrote Bruno Retailleau on “May we know why you didn’t have a word for the two LFI deputy offices attacked yesterday? Oh yes, you are far right…”castigates LFI MP Ersilia Soudais towards the tenant of Beauvau.

Antoine Léaument also denounces the lack of support from the minister towards his comrades elected in Haute-Vienne and recalls that “attacking those who are not in power and therefore not responsible for the situation is lamentable! If we implemented the NFP proposals, the peasantry would be much better off”. The Insoumis Thomas Portes also regrets the « silence » by Bruno Retailleau: “You are not a Minister of the Republic but a spokesperson for the RN. Lousy.”
“The Minister of the Interior only cares about giving assurances to the RN. An assumed double standard. Government of shame »finally reprimands LFI MP Nathalie Oziol. In the same register, Nadège Abomangoli believes that “obviously”the ransacking of the parliamentary office of LFI deputies “does not interest the Minister of the Interior who has selective indignation. For our part, we are not deploring, it is only some material damage. On the Minister of the Interior side, we are giving pledges of unconditional support for the far right. This will surprise no one, it’s the Barnier-Le Pen government”. The political debate continues, despite everything.
