NEW PODCAST

“Taylor Swift, the world, my daughter and me”

of Xavier Yvon

to discover from Wednesday October 9, 2024

on the Radio application and franceinter.fr

Outstanding narrator, symbol of girl power and formidable businesswoman, at 34 years old, singer Taylor Swift has succeeded in creating and maintaining a gigantic community which gives her immense power.

Taylor Swift causes mini-earthquakes during her concerts, changes the economy wherever she goes, and could even influence the American presidential election, to the point of making Donald Trump tremble. She is the subject of courses at universities such as Harvard and a reporter from USA Today is entirely dedicated to its news. Time magazine refers to her as ” main character of the planet ».

« How did my oldest daughter become such a Taylor Swift fan? And why are there hundreds of millions like her around the world? To understand, I decided to accompany my daughter to the concert, and to make it the main thread of a podcast. »

This is the starting point of this new series proposed by Xavier Yvon, head of the France Inter Reporting department. From to Nashville, via the singer’s native Pennsylvania, he takes us with his 13-year-old daughter, a real Swiftieon a road trip across the United States to explain the roots of the Taylor Swift phenomenon.

An exchange between a father and his daughter as a dialogue between generations to also understand the society in which the youngest live.
