Classes are not expected to resume this Wednesday at the Lycée Sévigné in . In the aftermath of the attack on a teacher hit by one of her students 18 years old, the shock is still palpable. The teacher asked the young girl to remove her veil in the courtyard of the establishment, which earned her a slap and several blows.

Following this incident, the classrooms remained deserted and will remain so this Wednesday. The principal gathered the high school teachers around elected officials and officials from the rectorate, all shocked but who remained silent as they left. In this working-class district of Tourquenn, the attack moved the students: “She’s an incredible teacher and she doesn’t deserve to be hit.”indicates one of them while another adds: “It’s a secular high school, we don’t have to put on the veil just before entering the high school or before leaving.
