FC did the job in Amilly

Amilly : 1
FC : 4

By winning in a big way in Amilly, Bryan Bergougnoux’s players did the right thing for the day. They are now leading the dance of a quartet which is getting significantly closer to the podium.

Even if the opponent of the day was greatly weakened by the absence of three holders sanctioned with a red card after the rout of Saran, the Tourangeaux showed an interesting face and an ability to quickly project themselves on the opposing goal which often put the Amillois in difficulty.

A double from Yahiatene to start well

We can, however, regret, for the show, that the second period was not at the level of the first.

“Score quickly” was the coach’s instructions and his players responded to this wish by opening the scoring in the second minute. A free kick on the left wing was quickly played for Mohamed Yahiatene, who took advantage of a disagreement in the defense to slip the ball out of the reach of Khan, the local goalkeeper (0-1, 2e).

The high Touraine block kept the Amillois in their own half and Khan’s crosses in front of the goals often put Georges Cazeaux’s players in danger. On one of the multiple corners obtained, a sign of undivided domination, Yahiatene, with a header, deceived Khan and doubled the lead and his personal score (0-2, 28e). The only alert on the visitors’ side was a long shot in the middle which forced Rais Amrani to try twice to control a slippery ball (30e).

A blander second period

But Noah Randazzo was not far from surprising Khan with a “Madjer” (31e) before Yahiatene, very prominent, offered Mamouni the visitors’ third goal (0-3, 33e). Overwhelmed by the pace of Tours, the Amillois managed to repel the opposing attacks not without sending shivers through their supporters (42e44e).

After an enticing first period, we had the right to expect an exciting second act but the Tourangeaux seemed to be content with their advantage and the alarm bells rang on a penalty rightly awarded to the locals.

Velasquez closes the mark

Kanouté deceived Amrani to maintain hope (1-3, 63e). Visibly struggling physically, Bryan Bergougnoux’s protégés were less precise, less impactful too. Fortunately, their hosts lacked the rigor and technique to put Amrani in danger.

The Tourangeaux finally unlocked their counter at the end of the match: a finely played free kick for Ikharo on the wing whose center found the head of Matéo Velasquez (1-4, 81e).

Half time: 0-3
Referee: M. Dansault.
Buts : Canoute (63e sp) for Amilly; Yahiatene (2e et 28e), Mamouni (33e), Velasquez (81e) for Tours FC.

Bryan Bergougnoux (Tours coach): “We started the game well but we would have liked to have had a much better second half. I have players who are starting to suffer athletically, we haven’t played much for some time and we’ve lacked a bit of freshness. But we did what we had to do in the game. We created a lot of chances and we had to score quickly to make it easier for us to continue. We are not completely satisfied with the content, we are not going to focus only on the result. We work all week and we know that it could be to the detriment of the weekend’s match, but we want to develop this team. We are starting to develop a gaming identity that resembles us and that we like. »
