One year to the day after the Hamas attack in the Negev desert during a music festival, the Families Forum has just announced the death of an Israeli hostage in Gaza.
The Families Forum announced this Monday, October 7, the death of an Israeli hostage. The disappearance of Idan Shtivi, 28, comes one year to the day after his kidnapping at the Nova music festival during the attack by the Palestinian Islamist movement Hamas on southern Israel.
“The Forum of Hostage Families mourns the murder of Idan Shtivi” whose “body is still” in Gaza, writes the Forum in a press release, as Israel marks the first anniversary of the deadliest day in its history.
“Support Israel in its fight against its enemies”
Israeli President Isaac Herzog on Monday called on the world to “support Israel in its fight against its enemies.”
October 7, 2023 leaves “a scar on humanity […] a scar on the face of the Earth”, and “the world must realize and understand that to change the course of history and bring peace and a better future to the region, it must support Israel in its fight against its enemies,” Isaac Herzog wrote in a statement.
