This year again, the City of Biarritz is committed to the Pink October campaign and the fight against breast cancer by supporting and hosting various events organized by local associations and structures.
Pink March on Sunday October 6 at the Grande Plage
A Pink Walk initiated by the Rotary Club Bayonne Biarritz Anglet, open to everyone from 7 to 77 years old, will set off Sunday October 6 at 10:15 a.m. from Grande Plagewith Maider AROSTEGUY, Mayor of Biarritz, as honorary godmother, as part of the Pink Weekend organized by the Rotary Club BBA and in the presence of Miss Côte Basque and her runners-up. Approximately 5 km long, it will start from the Parvis Sud de la Grande Plage, follow the coastline to the Côte des Basques before joining the Esplanade du Casino Municipal via the Perspective de la Côte des Basques, rue Mazagran and the square. Before the start of the Pink March, from 9:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., a yoga session taught by a professional will be offered as a warm-up.
Musical entertainment will punctuate the route: the ITSAS SOINUA group at the top of the 100 steps and ARROKA with a giant Mutxiko in the finish area.
Stands presenting cancer prevention and monitoring associations will also be present on the Arrival Esplanade.

Life Trophy on October 19 at the Phare and Ilbarritz golf courses
The Life Association, in collaboration with the Golfs de Biarritz, organizes the charity event Life Trophy, 2 Golfs for a cause on October 19. This golf competition, which will be held on the two prestigious courses of Golf du Phare and Golf d’Ilbarritz, aims to support the fight against precariousness caused by cancer.
All profits will be donated to the Life Association. The latter supports people weakened financially, socially and socially by cancer, by offering them concrete support in their daily lives (bills, rent, food cards, etc.).
The Golf du Pharewith its 18-hole competition, and the Golf d’Ilbarritzwith a 9-hole competition as well as initiations for children and adults, will welcome participants throughout the day of October 19.
The Pink Village®, with Maider AROSTEGUY, Mayor of Biarritz, as official godmother, will host for its fifth edition, in partnership with the Breast Institute of the Basque Country, several stands on cancer prevention: from fun prevention to life-saving gestures including Healthy food and sport, freely accessible.

October Together on October 26 at the Connector
The Connector makes its contribution to the fight against cancer with a morning for keep hope !
Organized in collaboration with Professor David Khayat, October together offers a scientific conference and a round table.
On the program:
- 9:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.: Conference “Cancer: why keep hope? » by Professor David Khayat
- 11:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.: Round table “Entrepreneurship and cancer: how to reconcile the two? » with the expertise of Professor David Khayat, Doctor Goyheneche (Oncologist Psychologist), Nathalie Savariaud from the Life association and 3 witnesses including Sophie Leguyader.
