Inter Milan returned to victory on the field of Udinese, dominated 3-2 with a double from Lautaro Martinez, Saturday during the 6th day of the Italian Championship.

Six days after his defeat in the derby against AC Milan (2-1), the reigning Italian champion wasted no time: it only took him 43 seconds to take the lead thanks to to Davide Frattesi.

Udinese, leader after the 4th day, equalized through Christian Kabasele (35th), before being knocked out by a double from Lautaro Martinez. The Argentinian, silent until then, restored the advantage to his team in added time of the first period. The Inter captain brought the score to 3-1 after returning from the locker room (47th) on a cross from Marcus Thuram.

Despite the score being reduced at the end of the match by Lorenzo Lucca, Simone Inzaghi’s players won their third victory of the season, the first in a month. They are provisionally placed in 3rd place tied (11 pts) with Torino who still have to face Lazio on Sunday, and their great rival, AC Milan, winner the day before Lecce (3-0).

Juventus Turin (6th, 9 pts) can overtake them in the event of success on Saturday (6 p.m.) on the Genoa field, but Juve remains on three draws in a row in the league.
