ASUS ROG unveils its latest innovations at CES 2025

It was as part of CES 2025 that ASUS ROG unveiled its latest innovations. These include the ROG Strix SCAR gaming laptops, the ultra-thin Zephyrus devices and the G700 series of high-performance towers.

The power of SCAR

At the heart of the new ASUS ROG Strix SCAR is the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor. Paired with the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPU, these laptops are designed to handle the most demanding AAA titles, high-performance applications, and intensive multitasking with ease. Visually, the SCAR’s ROG Nebula HDR Display raises the game with its mini-LED panel, 16:10 aspect ratio, and ultra-responsive 240Hz refresh rate. With DCI-P3 color coverage and brightness Maximum 1200 nits, each image provides an immersive experience. For its part, ACR technology helps reduce reflections and improve contrast for an optimal gaming experience. Of course several models will be available for purchase, one of which uses the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX processor. The 16-inch model will be available starting at CA$3,799.

The Zephyrus range and its versatility

ROG Zephyrus are top choices for gamers and creators who want portability without sacrificing performance. Made from a cast aluminum chassis, these laptops combine light weight and durability. They are equipped with the latest Intel or AMD processors ensuring optimal gaming and multitasking on the go. GPUs feature professional-grade hardware to tackle the most demanding AI, video, 3D, and livestreaming workflows, plus NVIDIA Studio optimizations in more than 130 applications, allowing users to Run cutting-edge generative AI models with powerful performance.

Visually, the ASUS ROG Zephyrus G14 features a 3K Nebula OLED screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a response time of 0.2ms. For its part, the G16 has a 2.5K ROG Nebula OLED display with a 240Hz refresh rate and a similar response time. Both models support NVIDIA G-SYNC technology for extremely smooth, tear-free gameplay. For its launch in Canada, the G14 will be available starting at $3,699 CAD.

The ASUS ROG Flow Z13 and its 2-in-1 proposition

Among the other innovations unveiled by ASUS ROG, we find the Flow Z13. This is a versatile 2-in-1 gaming tablet that combines portability and superior performance. It is based on the all-new ultra-powerful AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 processor with Radeon 8060S graphics card which integrates a desktop-class processor, an RDNA 3.5 GPU and a dedicated NPU in a single block. With support for Unified Memory Architecture, gamers can expect high-speed access for both CPU and GPU needs, improving performance and responsiveness. The Z13 features a 2.5K ROG Nebula 180Hz touchscreen with Pantone validation and 100% DCI-P3 color coverage. With a 70Wh battery providing up to 10 hours of use, Flow Z13 is designed for gaming and productivity on the go. The device will go on sale in February starting at $2,999 CAD.

Achieve better performance with ASUS ROG XG Mobile

The ASUS ROG XG Mobile external card was designed for peak performance and exceptional portability, surpassing all previous generations with its compact size. Featuring a redesigned vapor chamber, the model offers 150% more cooling surface area compared to standard heat pipes, helping to manage heat efficiently while keeping noise levels to a minimum. Connectivity is at the forefront with an array of options including HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 2.1, two USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-A ports and an SD card reader, all accessible via a single Thunderbolt 5 connection. The new G700 range

ASUS ROG also unveiled its all-new G700 line of computers. Desktops in this series are designed from the ground up for gaming, including an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor and paired with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 GPUs. Other configurations are equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The Intelpowered G700 is equipped with the PRIME B860M-A-AX6-II motherboard, while the G700 AMD is equipped with the
ASUS PRIME B650M-A AX6 II. Both support up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM, with speeds up to 6000MHz, as well as high-speed PCIe Gen 5 storage, ensuring optimal performance. Initial configurations will start at $3,199 CAD.
