a retro-looking photo grip for the iPhone

Belkin presented to CES 2025 son Stage PowerGripa MagSafe accessory that combines retro design and functionality. With a built-in batterya ergonomic gripand a trigger physiquethis grip promises to transform the experience of photographers on iPhone. A well inspired idea… from ShiftCam.

A grip for smartphone photography

In 2024, Belkin took advantage of CES in Las Vegas to unveil its Stand Pro motorized support, which allowed you to transform an iPhone into a PTZ camera.

This year, the American company is taking advantage of the tech event to lift the veil on the Stage PowerGripan accessory that improves the ergonomics of MagSafe compatible iPhones for photo use. Straight from the colorful design of certain cameras Instax Minithis grip seeks to combine aesthetic, comfort et advanced features for mobile photographers.

Beyond its looks, the Stage PowerGrip stands out for its functionality. Its built-in battery 10 000 mAh guarantees extended autonomy, enough to recharge an iPhone one and a half times.

Thanks to his Qi2 wireless charging stand (MagSafe compatible), it offers a charging power of 7,5 W and includes a retractable USB-C cable for fast and convenient wired charging.

In addition to serving as power bankthe PowerGrip offers ergonomic grip for the photo, with a comfort and one stability ideal for photography and video. We also find a bluetooth shutter button to capture photos or videos, and the handle allows it to be placed vertically, to transform it into a support. A little LED screen on the back completes the package by displaying the battery level at a glance.

Belkin Stage PowerGrip pricing and availability

The Stage PowerGrip will be available from May 2025 in several colors: powder blue, sandbox, fresh yellow, pepper, lavenderet black.

Although Belkin has not yet revealed the exact price, this accessory is expected to be slightly more expensive than traditional MagSafe batteriesoffered by the brand at a price of €100.

Our first opinion

With the Stage PowerGripBelkin offers an elegant and functional solution for iPhone photography enthusiasts. Her retro designin large battery capacityand its practical functions (shutter button, kickstand, MagSafe) make it a must-have tool for content creators.

However, impossible not to see here a way for Belkin to strongly copy the formula of ShiftCam’s SnapGrid launched in 2020 on the Kickstarter financing platform. If the Belkin version has a battery almost 3x more capacity and faster charging, we find more or less the same functions, in a very very (very) similar design.

However, the strike force of Belkin and its distribution network should ensure this product good visibility for those wishing to improve photo ergonomics They are iPhone.
