Apple has marketed several major new products in 2024, starting with the iPhone 16. Let’s not forget the MacBook Pro M4, the iPad mini 7 or even the AirPods 4 also released over the past year. Fans of Apple brand devices have therefore been rather spoiled. However, Apple also removed several products from sale in 2024. Four of them have a very special story.
Apple Vision Pro
The Apple Vision Pro, available in France since July 2024, has not had the expected success. This is primarily explained by its price of €3,999, but not only that. The lack of applications developed specifically for the mixed reality headset does not work in its favor. Its use is probably poorly understood by the general public, so Apple will have to do much better to succeed in making the next Vision Pro a commercial success.
Apple Intelligence
French users will have to wait until April 2025 to discover Apple Intelligence, while millions of people can already benefit from its capabilities. There is no doubt that part of the Apple community must be frustrated. Remember that the functions of Apple Intelligence are being expanded as iOS updates are released.
Coques FineWoven
The build quality of FineWoven cases has been under fire for almost a year. Many people reported that the edges of the case were peeling off and the back was scratching far too easily. Faced with this outcry, Apple has decided to no longer market the resistant FineWoven micro-twill shells, initially praised for their low carbon footprint.
AirPods Max with USB-C
The new version of the AirPods Max headset released in September 2024 includes a USB-C socket. This is indeed the only major addition to the product, which Apple does not always deign to drastically evolve. Suffice to say that the headset is well behind the competition, which still does not have lossless audio. Its starting price, however, set at €579.00, is enough to put off more than one buyer.
