At CES 2025 in Las Vegas, LG is presenting two new soundbars that illustrate its diversification strategy in the audio market. The South Korean manufacturer is launching the S95AR, a high-end Dolby Atmos compatible model, and the S20A, a compact bar intended for confined spaces.
Ahead of CES 2025, LG presented us with the S20A soundbar, distinguished by its reduced dimensions, not exceeding 40 centimeters in length. This 2.0 soundbar develops a power of 50 watts and is particularly aimed at televisions of 50 inches and less. Its connectivity includes an HDMI input and a USB-A port for playing high-resolution audio files.

In addition, this model integrates several proprietary technologies, including AI Sound Pro, a system that automatically adjusts the sound signature according to the content broadcast. The WOW interface allows access to the different sound modes and the equalizer directly from the screen of an LG television. Via its Bluetooth connectivity, it is also possible to stream music from any compatible source.
The new S95AR flagship refines its formula
The new LG S95AR soundbar represents the evolution of LG’s expertise in immersive sound. This 9.1.5 channel bar retains the architecture that made the S95TR a success, with a total power of 810 watts.
It consists of wireless rear speakers and a redesigned, larger subwoofer to provide more impact in low frequencies.
Compatible with WOW Orchestra technology, these speakers can play in concert with those of an LG TV.
The system retains the sophisticated multi-channel configuration of its predecessor, with nine ear-level channels, a subwoofer and five ceiling-facing channels for Dolby Atmos spatialization. This arrangement creates a three-dimensional sound bubble. Note its Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. It is Google Chromecast and Apple AirPlay compatible.
A well-defined range strategy
With these two models, LG covers distinct market segments. The S20A, most likely priced around 100 euros, meets the needs of users looking for a simple solution to improve the sound of their television without significant investment. The S95AR is aimed at demanding Home Cinema enthusiasts who want to take full advantage of new generation audio formats.
The marketing of these new soundbars is planned in the coming months, LG having not yet communicated a precise date of availability.
