Surprise from Apple, which announces a period of free access to its Apple TV+ subscription video-on-demand service. It will take place over a weekend from January 3 to 5, 2025.
The promotional offer for the first weekend of 2025 is global and the temporary free offer will apply to any device on which Apple TV+ is available. Not just the brand's devices, and even the tv.apple.com site.
A point to emphasize nevertheless, a Apple ID will be required. « Subscribe to Apple TV+ after the premiere weekend to watch even more hit shows and movies », Writes Apple.
Increase awareness of Apple TV+
In a press release, Apple cites titles like Silo… which is in the Top 10 of the most pirated series, Shrinking, Bad Sisters, Presumed Innoncent, Slow Horses, Disclaimer, Ted Lasso or even Severance which is described as a global phenomenon and whose second season is coming soon.
Such an initiative on the part of Apple is rare. But with Apple TV+, the Cupertino group is used to not doing things like other players in the field.
