At the end of 2024, Pauline Ledu, naturalist mission manager, from Sologne Nature Environnement, brought together the members of the Copil, the steering committee for the inventory of municipal biodiversity in Theillay. Its goal is to improve knowledge, raise awareness and mobilize the inhabitants of the municipality to preserve it, or even enrich it.

In 2024, over the four seasons, there will be inventories, awareness-raising, support and communication. Six sites were studied, and the first results made it possible to count 285 species (flora 205, amphibians 7, dragonflies 10, birds 38, butterflies 13, bats 4, and reptiles 3). New species not previously recorded were observed, notably plants, the spotted sunflower and the mountain sandwort.

In addition to the activities for all, this year there were discoveries of dragonflies on July 13, school activities on October 11 and 15, and the making of nest boxes on October 26. An IBC stand at the association forum on September 14 and for Pink October, on the animal trail.

For 2025, introduction to botany on May 24, in August, twilight animals. Drafting of report with summary of inventories, maps, activities and management measures to conclude the final Copil in October 2025. “ Thank you all for the smooth running of the first part of the project in favor of biodiversity », concluded Pauline Ledu.
