► In brief
- Many platforms offer simultaneous screen offers
- Prices vary enormously
- We compare subscriptions for you
What if you upgraded to the family plan? After all, if you live with several people under the same roof, what’s the point of paying for multiple subscriptions to Netflix, Disney+ or other platforms, when single, tailored subscriptions can totally do the trick! But, before getting started, it may be relevant to look carefully at each offer, to find the one that is the most advantageous.
But, to begin with, what is a good family package? In our research, we took into account several criteria:
- First, a relevant number of simultaneous screens, i.e. more than 2
- Then, access to a catalog provided, which leads us to focus only on the main platforms
- Then, the possibility of creating unique profiles, for each member of the family
- And finally, obviously, the price to pay to access it
With these elements in mind, we set out on a quest to find the cheapest family plan on streaming platforms. Come on, follow the guide!
Netflix
On the Netflix side, there is no dedicated family plan. However, among the many offers (Essentiel Pub, Essentiel, Standard, etc.), it is the Premium subscription at €17.99 per month which seems the most relevant. Thus, it provides access to 4 screens simultaneously, with broadcast quality increased to UHD / 4K, but with the new restriction of the platform concerning access to an account outside the main home.

Prime Video
On the Amazon side, the Prime platform does not offer a dedicated family subscription either. However, the single offer at €6.99 per month or €69.90 per year gives access to 3 screens simultaneously, as well as 6 different profiles, with the possibility of consulting all of the catalogs: Video, Music, Reading , Gaming… Please note, you have to pay €8.98 per month to benefit from programs without advertising.

Disney +
At Disney, a bit like Netflix, there is no dedicated Family package, and you will have to turn to the highest offer to get closer. It is therefore the Premium subscription which gives access to 4K UHD HDR, on 4 screens simultaneously, all offered at €13.99 per month. And to discover a catalog that will be enriched in 2025.

Apple TV+
A bit like Prime, the Apple platform only offers one subscription: €9.99 per month. However, it allows access to 6 screens simultaneously, in order to consult the entire catalog together. Without being a dedicated Family offer, it nevertheless allows you to get closer to it at a lower cost.
Family offer or equivalent: Standard, €9.99 per month, 6 screens simultaneously
What is the best family streaming subscription?
So, now that we have looked at the various offers on the market, what is the best family streaming subscription? As we have seen, some platforms do not offer dedicated packs, but include ideal conditions in their packages for use by several people. Okay, very good, but which one do we recommend? Let’s quickly review the offers:
- Netflix : €17.99 per month, 4 simultaneous screens
- Prime : €6.99 per month, 3 simultaneous screens, 6 profiles
- Canal + : €59.99 per month, 4 simultaneous screens
- Disney + : €13.99 per month, 4 screens simultaneously
- Apple TV + : €9.99 per month, 6 screens simultaneously
If Prime wins the price battle, this is also the case for the catalog, Amazon offering a comprehensive range, supplemented by numerous additional modules and content rental possibilities. Canal+, much more expensive, is also much more comprehensive in its Friends & Family version while we find Netflix too expensive for the content offered.
