The month of Black Friday is over, time for the magic of Christmas! We were able to test many very promising phones, with power to spare. Here are our top 3 smartphones that we preferred.
It's almost Christmas, family meals and other festivities, but at Frandroidwe are not letting up our efforts. This end of the year is seeing, in fact, big releases among the best smartphones, particularly linked to the arrival of new, ever more powerful chips on the market. So we tested the latest phones of the moment, whether entry-level or premium. Here are the three models that caught our eye, for different reasons.

Oppo left the French market a little over a year ago. The Chinese brand is making its comeback here with a long-awaited high-end model, the Find X8 Pro. With a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chip, a large 5,910 mAh battery and even a photo button, the model has serious arguments. It is indeed very powerful and will not let anyone down in the game. In the photo, it appears a little more inconsistent: excellent in zoom, on macro or simply during the day, it is less good at night. ColorOS 15 is full of good ideas and will appeal to those who want customization. Finally, its autonomy and charging are excellent. A very good choice for those who want to move away from the usual Samsung Galaxy or Google Pixel.

The Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro is a powerful beast totally designed for gaming, thus remaining faithful to the reputation of its ancestors. It adopts a real bias, which will undoubtedly make it lack versatility for those who expect everything from a smartphone at this price. The fact remains that its Snapdragon 8 Elite chip is a lightning bolt and the cooling system is top notch. The large AMOLED screen is simply perfect and goes up to 185 Hz, a record. We love the Anime Matrix, this area on the back of the phone made up of LEDs, capable of displaying a whole bunch of things, including the time or the battery status. The camera remains behind, but that's not why we will choose this resolutely gaming smartphone…

We close this top 3 with a little brother, the latest addition to the Samsung Galaxy family, a modest phone at an affordable price. The Galaxy A16 retains a nice flat edge design very close to the previous generation. We will also criticize it for the same thing as the A15: a lack of power which prevents perfect fluidity on a daily basis. Apart from that, the 6.7-inch Amoled screen is good, the photos hold up (except at night!), the battery life is satisfactory. Its biggest asset is undoubtedly the 6 years of updates promised by Samsung, an excellent point for a phone at this price.
