Android Auto suffers from connection problems: are updates to blame?
According to reports from some users, Android Auto has suffered from connection issues in recent weeks. The critical issue, reported both on Google’s forums and on Reddit, appears to have been triggered by the most recent updates and is believed to affect both the wired connection (the most affected) and the wireless connection. In user reports, Android Auto versions 11.7, 11.8 and 11.9 are quite frequently mentioned, which are also the most widespread at the moment (although the latest version available is 12.2). However, given the confusion surrounding this issue, it can be assumed that finding the right solution will not be easy. In any case, the problem seems to go back to updates published by Google between the end of May and mid-June. This is not the first time that Android Auto has returned errors to users, particularly regarding connection. This time, however, the criticality seems more extensive. In short, we hope that Google will be able to offer the most appropriate solution in a short period of time.

As already reported above, this is not the first time that the relationship between users and Android Auto has been turbulent. For example, in early June, a user reported that the latest beta version of Google Maps (v11.132.0100 beta) was not working properly. In particular, the launch of Android Auto caused the popular navigation app to suddenly crash. In addition, in April, a bug still on Android Auto affected the Google Assistant, which began to read the text of a message dictated by the user one too many times.
