This event aims to raise public awareness of the risks of asteroid impacts.

Astronomy, science, culture games…

The program of this unique event in France is partly aimed at a very wide audience. The curious will find there, for example, an à la carte planetarium, will freely visit Cassinomagus, will try out games workshops (astronomy, science, culture), will have access to the space bus… Among other exhibitions of meteorites, telescopes, projections, drone flights, conferences, walks and hikes and direct exchanges with the many scientists present.

Every day, it will be possible to participate in an asteroid launch, star vigils and to conclude, on Sunday June 30, to enjoy the storytelling show Stone heart according to Anne Coste.

A model of the Ariane 5 rocket (8 m high) as well as an inflatable NASA astronaut (2.5 m) will be on display.

The organizers have provided parking, reception service and the possibility of fast food on site.

The territory of the Astroblème Rochechouart Chassenon extends over several communes marked by the point of impact of the asteroid which shaped this unique landscape in France. The work of volunteers, elected officials and multiple services has enabled the realization of various projects such as the creation of the international center for research and restitution on impacts and on Rochechouart (Cirir).
