In addition to David Scott, commander of Apollo 15 and the first man to pilot a Rover on the Moon, the Monegasque company led by Gildo Pastor showed Prince Albert II of Monaco and astronaut Jean-François Clervoy a tour of its facilities.
Moon objective for Venturi Space. The company took advantage of this visit organized on November 18 to its Monaco premises on Rue du Gabian to demonstrate its program for the coming years. Specializing in the design and manufacturing of high-performance electric vehicles since 2020, Venturi Space also unveiled the technologies designed and developed by its European bases (Monaco, France and Switzerland) as part of its collaboration with Venturi Astrolab. Described as “strategic partner», this entity under American law builds versatile rovers (vehicles built for travel on stars other than the earth) for all the needs of the lunar south pole, in particular FLIP, which will be in operation in 2025, and FLEX, which will fly with SpaceX no earlier than 2026. Reaction: “Venturi Space takes on a very serious challenge! The FLEX rover is very different from the one I drove, it is much larger and its operating life will be enormous. It seems to me that the teams are doing a good job, I wish them good luck», Commented General David Scott.
In addition to the presentation of the FLIP and FLEX rovers (which is also one of the three mobility solutions pre-selected by NASA as part of the Artemis V mission in 2030), this visit was punctuated by the presentation of the hyper-reformable lunar wheel of Venturi Space Switzerland, Philippe Tondeur’s exhibition dedicated to helmets and suits from the history of aerospace or the discovery of technologies and manufacturing techniques for Venturi Space’s lunar batteries Monaco, depicting the entire Venturi universe.
