Stijn Degrieck, the current CEO of Codit, will hand over at the end of the year. Yashfeen Saiyid will lead Codit, in addition to the position he holds at Proximus NXT IT.
For almost two decades, Stijn Degrieck was at the head of Codit, this IT company which was bought in 2018 by Proximus, which, two years later, merged it with Unbrace. Codit focuses, among other things, on the modernization of applications and relies heavily on Microsoft technology to do this. At the end of this year, Degrieck will take a step aside. In fact, since June already, Yashfeen Saiyid has taken over the role of interim Managing Director at Codit. This time, it is therefore a definitive appointment.
Saiyid intends to enable Codit to further grow through innovation and collaboration, and to seek more opportunities across the Microsoft Azure chain. Sayid will also combine the position of Managing Director of Codit with the position he holds at Proximus NXT IT, where he heads the Data & AI Practice. Not so long ago, he was invited to Data News to participate in a round table on the impact of GenAI.
“GenAI is a tool more than a purpose”
Yashfeen Saiyid has been active at Proximus for almost 15 years. In 2009, he took part in a Young Potential Program at the former Belgacom as Process Manager for IP telephony and unified communications. He quickly became Product Manager of Microsoft Unified Communications, then of all of Microsoft’s collaboration solutions. In the years that followed, he continued to climb the ranks at Proximus, notably leading the Advanced Workplace business unit. Since 2021, he is, more at a strategic level in various functions, in charge of B2B and Enterprise IT collaborations and partnerships. As Head of Enterprise Transformation Office, he was in 2023 and until July this year also co-responsible for the implementation of Proximus NXT IT which employs more than 2,000 IT professionals.
