Elden Ring has an incredible destiny. The heir to Souls, the software with demanding, even punishing gameplay, has continued to break the house since its release. Rewarded with the prize of “game of the year” at the Game Awards 2022, the FromSoftware title is acclaimed to the point of having become a real video game phenomenon. Although we suspected its success, Elden Ring has defied all predictions to establish itself as one of the best-selling video games of recent years even though it is a title whose genre is not specifically designed to be accessible to the general public.

A week before the release of its DLC, FromSoftware puffed out its chest by announcing that cumulative global sales of Elden Ring had reached 25 million copies distributed. The worst part is that with the DLC which is now available, it is a safe bet that this impressive figure will continue to grow in the months to come. As we have already reported in the past, to realize the feat of Elden Ring and the enthusiasm it arouses among the public, you must know that sales of the game have almost reached the total of sales of the Dark Souls franchise… the latest estimates of which are around 27 million.

An eye for an eye

Since the recent Elden Ring update, players have noted that Bandai Namco has replaced its white background logo with the black background one. As you’ll see in the video below, this prevents you from being dazzled when playing in complete darkness… which happens quite often in our gaming lives, let’s face it.

“Our eyes are saved” can we read in various messages posted on Reddit. “Finished the Namco flashbang” adds another user. “For someone who suffers from migraines, this is a lifesaver” we also read. However, in the comments, some players express their incomprehension and write that they continue to see the famous white screen on PC. “If you exit the game to load a new save, it will no longer be white” writes one user. For our part, we have this beautiful black screen at startup.
