Only a few days have passed since we reported that Samsung was not introducing its first three-piece foldable smartphone. In summary, the company wants to offer the “best” tri-folder rather than being the first to market it, as was the case with the first Galaxy Fold.
It turns out that Samsung has already filed a patent for such a device with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). Ultimately, a patent does not guarantee that a company will launch a retail model. However, the images below give an idea of how Samsung is looking at things.

In short, the device closely resembles the design chosen by Huawei for the Mate Alternatives are the Galaxy Z Fold6 ($1,299.99 currently – renewed at Amazon) or the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition and Samsung W25 in select markets.
