It’s official, get ready! Nintendo is holding a new annual conference tomorrow, at 4 p.m. sharp with a 40-minute show.

Nintendo Direct tomorrow!

The appointment is noted! Tomorrow, June 18 at 4 p.m. French time, Nintendo is launching a new edition of its traditional Nintendo Direct! Be sure, “there will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation“, this is what the manufacturer indicates word for word in its announcement published just now on X (formerly Twitter). Expect 40 minutes of show focused on Nintendo Switch games coming in the second half of 2024, all broadcast on the Japanese giant’s YouTube channel.

Join us for a #NintendoDirect livestream focused on #NintendoSwitch games coming in the second half of 2024! There will be no mention of the Nintendo Switch successor during this presentation.

What to expect from this Nintendo Direct?

If the clues are rare, many expect some information on an upcoming Dragon Quest during this Nintendo Direct. Dragon Quest XII: The Flames of Fate has not made any official communication since its reveal, but there are some hopes surrounding a certain Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake, which was announced at the same time and has finally talked about him again recently. According to the leaker Midori, generally very well informed about the license, Dragon Quest III HD-2D would appear during the next Nintendo Direct and surprise: it would no longer be a remake of the third episode, but of the first three opuses. This is something to delight fans while waiting for a completely new part.

At the same time, recent leaks also seem to confirm the existence of a highly anticipated port of a Zelda opus, long requested by the community. After the recent port of Paper Mario: The Millennium Door on Switch, it would be the turn of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD to benefit from a nice port. The Japanese giant could also just as easily keep its titles for the release of the Switch “2”. A situation which is reminiscent of the launch of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, made available on both Wii U and Switch. Finally new images for Professor Layton and the New World on Steam would also be welcome. In 2025, we will be able to find the most famous professor and his apprentice at Nintendo, after more than 10 years of absence. All we need is a more precise release date.
