this is how the Samsung connected ring should recharge

Leaker Ice Universe has revealed a visual revealing the Galaxy Ring charging case. This case should have a battery to charge the ring, even without access to a power outlet.

In just under a month, Samsung should officially present its first connected ring, the Galaxy Ring. If the Korean manufacturer has already revealed the contours of its health ring, most of the information should only be revealed during the Galaxy Unpacked conference, expected at the beginning of July.

This is particularly the case for the charging system which should be implemented by Samsung for its Galaxy Ring. If we expected Samsung to offer a magnetic charging base, as is the case on most competing rings, it seems that the company is going even further, as reported by Chinese leaker Ice Universe on Weibo.

In a message published this Sunday, the leaker reveals what appears to be a 3D rendering of the Samsung Galaxy Ring charger. We can see a design similar in appearance to that of the Oura Ring 3 or the Ultrahuman Ring Air, with a base topped by an outgrowth around which the connected ring nestles. We can also detect two orange dots which seem to correspond to LEDs indicating the state of charge of the battery, both on the base itself and on the ring. Enough to corroborate certain rumors which indicated that the Galaxy Ring would be entitled to an LED to be able to help you find it.

A charging base that acts as a charging case with battery

The most interesting thing is that the e-charging base does not seem to be limited to a base, but should indeed be a real charging case, with a lid that closes. The design would in fact be inspired by that of the Galaxy Buds wireless headphones and could integrate a battery, in order to recharge the connected ring even on the go. At the end of May, certification of the Galaxy Ring in the United States already made it possible to discover the base of the charging base, where the logos of the regulatory bodies (FCC, CE, UKCA, etc.) will be positioned. These diagrams also indicated that the base would benefit from a USB-C socket at the back which should therefore be used not only to power it, but also to recharge the internal battery in order to recharge the connected ring on the go.

Finally, we can note a sort of white halo at the level of the cover, surrounding the space where the ring is housed. However, it is impossible to know if it will be a luminous halo or if it is just a stylistic effect on the 3D rendering to indicate a color difference between two materials used for the case.

We will know more about the Galaxy Ring during its official presentation. The connected ring should be presented with great fanfare on July 10, alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra.
