After two generations offered in a single size, the future version of the Pixel Watch would be available in two cases. The Pixel Watch 3 XL would be larger, but nothing would change – or very little – for the thick borders around the dial.
For the first time in the (short) history of Pixel Watch, Google should offer two different case sizes this year: 41 mm, as has always been the case, and 45 mm. The OnLeaks leaker and Android Headlines have published renderings of the future big watch and it’s very smart who can distinguish it from the Pixel Watch 3, images of which also leaked this week.

A bigger watch, but few changes to the border
The only change for this Pixel Watch 3 XL, apart from its size of course, is a 1.45 inch screen compared to 1.2 inches on the Pixel Watch 3. For the rest, the design would be very similar between the two models, which itself is heavily inspired by the Pixel Watch 2. But after all, why fix what’s not broken?
But then, with more room in the case, Google may have taken the opportunity to reduce the thickness of the border around the dial. This could be the case, according to the comparison made by Bennett who relied on renderings from OnLeaks to diagram the borders and screens of the next two models. Don’t expect a drastic difference.
The Pixel Watch 3 is expected to measure 40.79 x 40.73 x 14mm, while the XL is said to have dimensions of 45 x 45 x 13.89mm. Bad news: the bracelets for the “small” model could not connect to the larger case. We will know everything this fall, since Google should present this new range at the same time as the Pixel 9.
