Many rumors are circulating about the Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra SamsungSamsung, as well as a possible FE version (Fan Edition), a model without certain advanced functions, but much cheaper. While we will obviously have to wait for the “Unpacked” event next month for news about the Galaxy Watch 7 and Ultra, the company has just officially announced the Galaxy Watch FE.

This much more affordable watch appears to be comparable to the Galaxy Watch 4. However, Samsung typically delivers four major Wear OS updates and four years of security updates. The Galaxy Watch FE should therefore be supported until 2028, while the Galaxy Watch 4 will no longer receive updates from next year.

A launch during the summer in France

On the hardware side, the Galaxy Watch FE will be available in 40 mm size only, with sapphire glass protection, more resistant than the GorillaGorilla Glass DX+ of the Galaxy Watch 4. The case is made of aluminumaluminum, with a 1.2-inch 396 x 396 pixel Super Amoled touch screen. It hides an Exynos W920 processor, 1.5 GB of RAMRAM, 16 GB of storage, and a 247 mAh battery all working with the One UI 5 Watch system. The watch features Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, NFCNFC, GPSGPSas well as the sensorsensor Samsung BioActive, a accelerometeraccelerometerA barometerbarometerA gyroscopegyroscopea geomagnetic sensor and a lightlight. It allows you to follow the sleepsleepthere blood pressureblood pressurecardiac activity (ECGECG) and more than a hundred types of workouts.

The Galaxy Watch FE will be available in the United States on June 24 with a global launch “sometime this summer” without further details. Samsung has not yet announced the price for France, but the watch will cost 219 euros for the Bluetooth version according to the German announcement, with an LTE version at 269 euros arriving later.
