Pauline Martinez has just moved to the Trélazé health and well-being space. She offers foot reflexology, with a Chinese orientation.
What is your professional background?
Pauline Martinez : “I have recently welcomed my clients to the health and well-being area where seven professionals offer various treatments: naturopathy, slimming, energy, chiropractic and osteopathy.
It is a professional reorientation, which I am carrying out, part-time, after a career as a social worker. I wanted to go into a profession that was still oriented towards relationships but with manual work. Foot reflexology imposed itself on me. After very comprehensive training of more than 500 hours, face-to-face and with supervised practices, I chose to complete my basic training with a specialization in Chinese energy applied to foot reflexology. »
What is foot reflexology?
“It is an ancestral manual technique, which, through intervention on the feet, allows you to act on the entire body. I stimulate certain areas of the feet according to people’s expectations and needs, manually by crawling and without equipment. These are more or less deep pressures. All endocrine circulation is thus stimulated and therefore blood and lymphatic circulation as well. The energy path, which is an approach close to the Chinese orientation, can be stimulated. This allows for deep relaxation of the whole body which can settle down and relax. »
Who is your method aimed at?
“For all types of clients: those with disturbed sleep, stomach aches, recurring stress, musculoskeletal disorders. They are also people who simply want to take care of themselves. They come to seek balance in their organism and to have a calming interest in supporting the body in order to find a comfortable state of life and well-being. Each session is personalized and adapted to the request. »
