Android Headlines has reignited rumors that Samsung is set to release two successors to last year’s Zold5 Galaxy Z Fold5 (currently $1,059.99 – renewed at Amazon). As a reminder, several generally reliable sources have claimed over the past few months that Samsung is working on shipping not only the Galaxy Z Fold6, pictured below, but also a device called the Galaxy Z Fold6 Ultra under the codename “Q6A “. However, all these claims were denied by Evan Blass, who said last month that the company had only developed “Q6” and “B6”, codenames for Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6, respectively.

As a reminder, the first one recently appeared on Geekbench with the model number “SM-F956” before the addition of regional suffixes such as “B”, “N” or “U”, among others. On the other hand, evidence has already emerged regarding the “SM-F958N”, an entirely different model whose model number implies that Samsung plans to offer it in South Korea. Additionally, Android Headlines has discovered a new IMEI listing for “SM-W9025” associated with model number “Q6A”.

According to the latest publications, the SM-W9025 belongs to the W series, which Samsung last renewed in September 2023 with the W24 and W24 Flip. Ultimately, these are just Chinese versions of the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5 models, respectively, with unique color options and ceramic backs. Nonetheless, the appearance of the ‘Q6A’-related SM-W9025 suggests that Samsung could introduce something like the W25 Ultra, as Android Headlines theory. Regardless, it appears that the company’s legendary “Q6A” smartphone is only getting a limited release, potentially in China and South Korea.
