The Tête du Soleil islet is a project that is close to Gaël Perdriau’s heart. Indeed, it includes a building with 52 housing units, spaces dedicated to 2,500 m² of offices, as well as businesses for the revitalization of the neighborhood. Three buildings are emerging from the ground. 10 million euros were invested in the construction.

A nursery and a medical center will open in one of the buildings. The work in the district, which has already produced a strong aesthetic and economic result, will continue in an increasing manner. The City of Saint-Étienne wishes to breathe new life into the Châteaucreux district.

The Tête du Soleil islet was commissioned by the developer GR Immobilier and built by the Mazaud group. The mayor of Saint-Étienne, Gaël Perdriau, explains that it is “on the bow facing the Pont du Soleil and the station”.

The city of Saint-Étienne emphasizes that this operation made it possible to create the senior residence Les Mounted Arches and the One Station building. Indeed, Saint-Étienne now has One Station, its totemic building at the exit of the station. This architectural and economic signal is characterized by an imposing overhang and a vermilion red which matches the color of the station.

The entire Poste-Weiss block (25,700 m²) was designed by the ECDM firm (Emmanuel Combarel and Dominique Marrec) and built by a tandem of developers, Vinci Immobilier and Cardinal, under the supervision of Epase ( Public planning establishment of Saint-Étienne). It is a mixed complex including offices, apartments (including social housing), hotels (Ibis and Novotel), and a public pedestrian space (with trees and works of art). He is the winner of the 2020 Silver Pyramid urban diversity prize. One Station was acquired by Sham (Relyens group). The objective is obviously to contribute to the future of Saint-Étienne, by attracting new businesses and new residents.
