Nothing introduced the sub-brand CMF sub-brand with the aim of offering affordable products. So far, the company has released quite a few accessories, including several wireless earbuds, a smartwatch, and a 65W GaN charger. Recently, the sub-brand presented its very first smartphone, the CMF Phone 1.

According to the teasers shared by the company, the Phone 1 will sport a unique design on the back. For example, there’s the “Nothing Lock”, which has a distinctive screw that will likely allow you to attach proprietary accessories such as cords and stands.

Although the brand is yet to reveal the specifications of the smartphone, an earlier leak suggested that the CMF Phone 1 would offer a slight improvement over the Nothing Phone 2a. It would be equipped with a Dimensity 7300 SoC, the successor to the SoC found inside the Nothing Phone 2a Nothing’s new affordable phone.

The leak also claims that CMF’s Phone 1 will feature a 5,000mAh battery with support for 33W fast charging, up to 8GB of RAM and a 50MP primary camera on the back. back. Today, a new leak sheds light on the possible price of the smartphone.

It will reportedly be priced at INR 19,999 (around $239), which is lower than the starting price of the Nothing Phone 2a (12+256GB, $419.94 at Amazon). It is worth noting that the price may drop further with launch day deals and discounts, which could make the CMF Phone 1 more affordable.

Rumor has it that CMF will keep the price low by ditching the Glyph LEDs found in Nothing phones that are found in “Nothing” phones. The teasers also hinted that this is the path the sub-brand has chosen. Furthermore, official teasers suggest that the back will be made of plastic, which may not make the phone feel premium, but will help keep the price low and improve durability.
