TEST Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: what is the PS5 Pro version worth?

Second part of the ambitious remake project of RPG cults of Square Enix, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth was released at the beginning of 2024 exclusively on PlayStation 5, delighting fans. But the title suffered from major visual defects with the mode favoring fluidity, too bad. The role play of Square Enix is entitled to its PlayStation 5 Pro update with a major argument: the arrival of a new rendering mode using machine improvements to have better image quality and framerate pupil. Is the result conclusive?

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth finally looks good in 4K and smooth at 60 fps.

Let's not beat around the bush, the mode Resolution & Fluidity (called Versatility Mode in English) is a total success. Thanks to him, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth finally looks good in 4K and smooth at 60 fpsit is a treat for the retina and the gameplay. No need to choose between beautiful detailed textures or a framerate suitable, we finally have both at the same time on PS5 Pro thanks to the PSSR and the power of the console. Goodbye ugly textures or blur effects, everything is (almost) perfect.

The other rendering modes are still there, the mode Resolution is not more beautiful, but runs at only 30 fps, while the modes Fluidity (sharp image) et Fluidity (smooth image) lose a little visual detail by increasing the framerate at 60 fps. Moreover, it is impossible to see the difference between these two modes with the naked eye. Fluiditybut, you understood it: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is played in Resolution & Fluidity on PlayStation 5 Pro, it's the best of the two modes combined together.
