Alan Wake 2: “Night Springs” DLC revealed with a big surprise

The first major expansion (DLC) of the game Alan Wake 2 was announced on Friday and, surprise, it comes out on Saturday, June 8!

It was Sam Lake, the creative director and face of the Remedy Entertainment studio, who unveiled the DLC on Friday during Summer Game Fest. I must highlight the always pleasant presence of Sam Lake during the conferences; his enthusiasm on stage offered a bit of levity to an event overshadowed by the difficult circumstances of the video game industry. As a reminder: many studios have closed their doors recently, thousands of talented people have lost their jobs, and it’s not likely to stop for a long time. Lake was the perfect presence to offer a little moment of optimism and a touch of madness.

And this bit of madness can certainly be found in the DLC announced for Alan Wake 2. Titled Night Springs, the expansion offers three episodes that will blur the boundaries between fiction and reality. It’s even more meta than the base game, since the events technically take place inside a fictional TV series, Night Springs, in the game in question.

Presentation Alan Wake 2 “Night Springs”

Night Springs is available on the Epic Games Store for PC and is part of the Deluxe Edition of the game. If you have the Standard Edition, you can upgrade the game to Deluxe for $26.80 (temporarily $21.44 !). This same upgrade costs around $26.50 on Xbox Series X/S and PS5. And all this will also give you access to the next DLC, Lake House, scheduled for October. This is a great offer for those who loved it Alan Wake 2 and who want even more.

Remedy Entertainment had more good news: Alan Wake 2 will finally have a physical version. The Deluxe Edition for console will hit stores on October 22, including a host of additional content, including the DLC mentioned above. Pre-orders are expected to begin on Saturday, June 8, priced at $79.99 USD.

Fans ofAlan Wake 2 will have to wait until December to receive the “Collector’s Edition”, which is filled with products and accessories from the game.
