We all know the 911 GT3 is a wonderful sports car, but today it costs an arm, a leg, a hip and a knee. This has not escaped Porsche, which is therefore launching a new “pure” 911. Here is the 911 Carrra T again!
Manual, that’s all!
We can already hear you thinking that Porsche already has a 911 T in its range. That’s right! But the new version – refreshed – changes the situation of the cards somewhat. All this, in order to satisfy the purists. Thus, the 911 T is not a hybrid like the GTS, but it receives the 3.0-liter boxer 6-cylinder from the Carrera, which develops 394 hp and 450 Nm of torque. The big difference, however, is between the occupants.
Indeed, previously, it was still possible to obtain the 911 T with a PDK automatic transmission. It’s officially over. Every newly delivered 911 T is equipped as standard with a manual gearbox whose knob is made of open-pore walnut wood. Admit that it immediately makes you salivate, doesn’t it? Beneath the gear lever proudly hangs a metal plate with the inscription “MT” (Manual Transmission) and, also outside, a sticker on the side window shows the gear shift pattern of a manual transmission.
Subtle aesthetic
The other differences of the refreshed 911 T are in the details. For example, it is one centimeter lower than a normal Carrera and it automatically features adaptive suspension, recalibrated steering as well as rear axle steering.
Visually, you already have to look at the badge or the optional sticker affixed to the side to know if it is a 911 T. Unlike the GT3, this T does not have flashy spoilers. eye or flared bumpers. Secretly, this 911 T makes our mouths water. What’s more: it is now available as a convertible!
