Samsung unveils its new strategy in video: AI will be at the center of the experience

The future of Samsung is taking shape. While the designation “Galaxy” could be abandoned, Galaxy AI promises to be the central element of the mobile experience, particularly with the integration of the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC for the Galaxy S25 range.

AI also extends to household appliances and electronics in the Samsung catalog, which recently deployed fixes for flaws affecting its smartphones.

For the first time, Samsung is no longer separating its mobile and Bespoke branches as separate entities. The Korean firm is working to merge these worlds via AI and offer smarter features for a connected and unified home experience.

It was during SDC 2024 that Samsung presented the first details of its new approach with One UI and SmartThings. The Korean firm has announced the extension of the One UI interface for its connected televisions. The company also commits to providing seven years of updates for new Smart TV models.

Samsung hasn’t slowed down in 2024. The company has launched an AI-equipped washing machine with a 7-inch touchscreen integrated with SmartThings. The firm has also updated its Bespoke refrigerator with a 32-inch panel with generative wallpapers and, more incidentally, YouTube integration (to watch videos… on your fridge?).

The year 2025 risks being in the same vein with a reinforced strategy towards a unified ecosystem. The promise of a smarter, more integrated home experience for users of Samsung products.

That Samsung is banking on AI is nothing new or exceptional. All manufacturers are turning to this technology, whether it is Nvidia which is establishing itself as one of the leaders or even Apple with its Apple Intelligence. The Korean firm has every interest in not missing the boat. AI will be more and more present in our lives in the coming years.
