BenQ Announces New TK710 and TK710STi Gaming Projectors

BenQ has launched two new gaming projectors, the TK710 and TK710STi. Both devices feature a laser light Source capable of delivering 3,200 lumens of brightness and lasting up to 20,000 hours. DLP projectors can project images up to 150 inches (~380 cm) wide with a 16:9 aspect ratio.

BenQ claims these models have native 4K UHD resolution, “true 4K UHD”, although the 3,840 x 2,160 px measurement and low price suggest these are pixel-shifted models. The products also have a 600,000:1 contrast ratio with a Lightsource dimming tool and 95% Rec.709 color gamut coverage. Gaming features include HDR gaming modes, 16.7ms input lag for 4K@60Hz resolution, 4.2ms for 1080P@240Hz, and dual HDMI ports (2.0b/HDCP2.2). Other common features are a 5W built-in speaker, eARC HDMI with Dolby Atmos support, USB-A 2.0 and RS232 interfaces.

The TK710 has a throw ratio of 1.15-1.5 and offers 1.3x zoom, while the short-throw TK710STi has a throw ratio of 0.69-0.83 with 1.2x zoom. Image enhancement tools include vertical and horizontal keystone correction, as well as vertical lens shift for the standard model. Another difference noted in the Specifications section is the QS02 Android dongle found in the STi variant but not the standard model. You can now purchase the BenQ TK710 and TK710STi Casual Gaming Projectors for $1,799/€1,499/£1,399/AU$3,499 and $1,999/€1,599/£1,599, respectively.
